I can’t tell if this is true. I agree, but then I think that I only agree because my life turned out the way it did, and my life only turned out the way it did because my parents love me, I am not an orphan, I go to a good school where I get a good education, my dad and mom work and so we have money to pay for things we need and want, I was never beaten, I’ve never really lost anyone, I do not have a big brother that treats me badly, I did not live in Rwanda in 1994 and I did not suffer through a massacre. I think that no matter how hard we try we will never truely understand what its like to be someone other than ourselves, at least not fully, and that has an impact on the way we think about life. So whoever wrote this, have you been raped? Did you grow up in poverty? Maybe you’ve gone through some tough shit, I don’t know. And that’s the point, You never know.
